The Teachers Professional Development Institutes Act would provide for the establishment of eight new Teachers Professional Development Institutes each year over the next five years.

Similar ceremonies have taken place throughout the state and will continue until all Connecticut veterans have been honored.

New Haven, CT – Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro (CT-03) attended the groundbreaking for the new Armed Forces Reserve Center in Middletown today. The new facility, which replaces locations in New Haven, Milford, Manchester, Newington, will be a centralized home for Connecticut's Reservists.

Washington, DC –Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro (CT-3) praised two local students today, Sarah Melville and Daniel Park, both of Woodland Regional High School, who were being honored for their acceptance into two of the nation's military academies. Melville will be attending the United States Military Academy at West Point, while Park will be attending the United States Naval Academy. Both students are from Beacon Falls.
