WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Chris Murphy (CT-5) and Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro (CT-3) announced that the greater Waterbury area will receive more than $490,000 from the recently enacted American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for crime prevention.

"In challenging economic times, municipalities are grappling with how to maintain services such as those aimed at preventing and controlling crime, but the funding in the recovery package will help these towns ensure the safety of their residents and the strength of their law enforcement workforce," said DeLauro.
