WASHINGTON, DC— Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) today called on officials representing the United States in Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations to release the text of the TPP chapter dealing with food and consumer safety. This comes on the heels of DeLauro’s previous calls for the text of the entire deal to be publicly available. Despite the fact that negotiators announced an agreement on October 5, the contents are still a closely held secret.

Federal Funds Will Allow the State to Continue Efforts in Reducing Recidivism

Bridgeport, CT- Today, U.S Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), and Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-3) and Congressman Jim Himes (D-4) announced a $14 million, five-year federal grant for The WorkPlace in Bridgeport to train low-income individuals for careers in health professions. The grant was awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and is part of the Healthcare Professional Opportunity Program.
