Washington, DC – Today, in conjunction with the beginning of Alcohol Awareness Month, Congresswomen Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) and Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-40) announced that they have introduced H.R. 1717, a bill to reauthorize her Sober Truth on Preventing (STOP) Underage Drinking Act. Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick (PA-08) and 38 other original co-sponsors joined Roybal-Allard and DeLauro in introducing the STOP Act reauthorization bill.

WASHINGTON, DC—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) released the following statement today on the Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) chapter of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). DeLauro viewed the chapter last week under heavy supervision by staff of the United States Trade Representative. SWEET Act Would Discourage Excessive Sugar in Beverages
WASHINGTON, DC—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) today reintroduced the Sugar-Sweetened Beverages Tax (SWEET) Act to tackle the dual epidemics of Type 2 diabetes and obesity by discouraging excessive sugar in beverages. DeLauro introduced identical legislation in the 113th Congress.

Ambassador Froman has told Members of Congress that the U.S. has a trade surplus with its free trade agreement partners, which is in direct contradiction to U.S. International Trade Commission data showing the U.S. has a large goods trade deficit with its free trade agreement partners.
