NEW HAVEN, CT—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) today joined Connecticut Consumer Protection Deputy Commissioner, Michelle Seagull and Connecticut Department of Revenue Services Deputy Commissioner Joseph Mooney to warn Connecticut residents about an ongoing IRS phone scam. The fraudsters claim that the intended victim owes the government a substantial amount of money and faces possible arrest. DeLauro’s office has been contacted by dozens of Connecticut residents who received calls from people posing as IRS agents.

The data reveals a record-breaking $3 billion deficit with Korea. This comes as the Administration pushes to finalize the expansive, 12-nation Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement that was modeled upon KORUS.

At Today’s Hearing on Department of Education Budget Request

WASHINGTON, DC—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) encouraged Education Secretary Arne Duncan to keep the pressure on for-profit colleges at today’s Labor-Health and Human Services-Education Appropriations Subcommittee hearing on the Department of Education’s Fiscal Year 2016 budget request. DeLauro is the senior Democrat on that subcommittee, which is responsible for funding the Department.
