They are asking the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to conduct a review of crop insurance payments and shed some light on how much of the payments go to wealthy individuals and families.

Dispels Myths, Corrects Erroneous Information in Wallingford

NEW HAVEN, CT—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) hosted a forum at the Wallingford Senior Center today to dispel myths and correct false information surrounding the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Medicare. She was joined by Judy Stein, founder and executive director of the Center for Medicare Advocacy. They also answered questions on what the law means for seniors and discussed the recent provider cuts by UnitedHealth’s Medicare Advantage network.

WASHINGTON, DC--Today, enrollees in UnitedHealth Group’s Medicare Advantage plan will begin to receive letters indicating that their doctors and other health providers are being dropped from the UnitedHealth Group Medicare Advantage network. These letters will complete the Medicare notification requirements and give enrollees little time to evaluate their health care options. WASHINGTON, DC—Congresswomen Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) and Barbara Lee (D-CT) today led 28 House Democrats in urging their colleagues negotiating a final Farm Bill to protect the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food stamps. The signatories include members of leadership, chairs of the Hispanic, Progressive and Asian Pacific caucuses, and the senior Democrat on every committee who is not already serving serving on the Farm Bill conference committee.
